Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium has chosen to support Eroica, a cycling event, founded by Giancarlo Brocci. Eroica has been inspiring cycling enthusiasts from worldwide since 1997 with an always increasing passion.
Eroica: the birth
Eroica has born in Gaiole in Chianti, a small town of Siena’s province. Giancarlo Brocci first founded the Granfondo Gino Bartali and then Eroica inspired by his friendship with the cyclism champion Gino Bartali.Eroica has become an authentic cultural movement, and makes ride thousand of people from California to Japan and South Africa.All ages people can freely participate. This event pays homage to the cycling golden era and it stands out for the vintage atmophere: riders wear vintage garbs and pedal down along tuscan countryside on their historic bicycles.
Eroica Juniores: the future
Eroica Junior has been designed for young cyclists and it takes place on simpler routes than the Classic Eroica. This event aims to provide the opportunity both to race within an educational environment and to promote the authentic cycling among young people.Both events, Eroica and Eroica Juniores embody passion, tradition and adventure and the Consortium deeply trusts these values.
Eroica Juniores: when and where
Eroica Juniores – UCI Nations’ Cup 2024 will take place from Thursday April the 18th to Sunday April the 21st running across the provinces of Siena, Grosseto and Arezzo.It starts from Punta Ala (GR), with a time trial of 22km finishing to Castiglione della Pescaia (GR). Immediatly afterwards a 68km road race will take place with start and finish in Castiglione della Pescaia (GR).Friday the 19th. The second stage will finish in Piazza del Campo, Siena with a 110km race started from Cinigliano (GR).The third stage will be on Saturday the 20th from Siena to Montevarchi (AR), and finally the Fourth and last stage, from Siena to Chiusdino(SI).We are talking about an internation event with a total of 176 riders, both italian and foreign.
