Lineapelle 97: the story of the fair

A fair with interesting outlines but which was affected by the market context of the tanning world between attacks by the animal rights association and problems related to duties. However, the number of online registered people to take part in Lineapelle 97 at FieraMilano Rho gave hope to exhibitors and also organizers, always careful to the sucess of each edition. Also our associated tanneries, who have shown  thier collections for the Winter Season 2020/2021, were statisfied. A three-days fair that has been very useful to understand the current state of the market and the new trends for the coming months.

Lineapelle 97 between sustainability and innovation

Lineapelle 97, which as we said before launched the Winter Season 2020/2021, was focused on innovation and circularity of the supply chain, so as to define some collateral events, as the workshop “Sustainability partnership in the leather supply chain: focus on raw materials(organized as part of the “Social & Environmental Reporting 2020” Project), and the conference “The Circularity of the Italian Tanning Industry“, in which some of the protagonists of the recovery chain of tanning scraps and wastes presented their experencies as case studies. Furthermore, during the fair has been set up “The Leather (Re)Cycling Exhibition“, a space dedicated to the circular economy and to the sustainability of the tanning production cycle, which recovers and uses a waste from food industry producing meat for human consumption and which supplies most of its production scraps to othe industrial sectors.

Now the appointment is for Lineapelle 98, which will be held in Fieramilano Rho from 19th to 21st February 2020 and where the Summer collections 2021 will be presented. In February 2020 edition also our Consortium will have a stand showcasing the collections of young designers participating at Craft The Leather 2019. Visitors will have the chance to vote for their favourite one, as already happened in the previous edition.
