We&#8217;re talking about <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alpignano\"><strong>Alpignano<\/strong><\/a>, 16,000 inhabitants, where we can admire <strong>the world&#8217;s oldest typographical factory<\/strong>. A workplace that takes over\u00a0a unique manufacturing process. A process that, during the years, has fallen into disuse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A way of approaching work <\/strong>that differs much from industrialisation and digitalisation, and <strong>that gives priority to the spiritual and emotional side<\/strong> connecting man to a book, a poetry or a novel. Because digital favors immediacy and readiness, but <strong>book lovers<\/strong>, namely people who grew up with the printed paper, <strong>struggle to feel comfortable with technology<\/strong>. The sound of paper leafed through, the smell of a book just purchased , the possibility of touching paper and feeling its granularity are sensations too exciting to put them aside and\u00a0switch to a useful but unemotional device.<\/p>\n<p>In Alpignano the world seems to be standing still: to see a book made by hand and the workers that choose meticulously metallic letters <strong>let<\/strong> <strong>us breathe history and a different, far atmosphere<\/strong>. In other words, what we were and what the technological process has slowly replaced with something\u00a0without a soul. Something far away from our\u00a0intimate way of living.<\/p>\n<h2><em>Craftmanship, culture and changes of perspective in Alpignano<\/em><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Enrico Tallone<\/strong>, master printer and company owner, with his wife Maria Rosa, his children and other expert colleagues, \u00a0carry on <strong>a business model based on historic tradition and craftmanship<\/strong>. \u00a0Because in the exercise of their work <strong>style, passion, \u00a0dedication, and creativity are fundamental<\/strong>.
