Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale invites you to Lineapelle, the international exhibition of leathers, accessories, components and much more. An event that attracts operators, for many years now, from all over the world.
Lineapelle will be held at Fiera Milano Rho from 21st to 23rd February. The exhibition is fundamental for all the stakeholders of the production chain and visitors interested in learning more about the issues related to leather. During this edition it will be showcased the collection summer 2018. The numbers of 2016 edition were excellent: 21.184 visitors from over 110 countries all over the world, a 9% rise on the previous edition.
As every edition , our associated tanneries will take part to the fair with their own stands presenting their new veg-tan leather collections. But not only that: Consortium will have a stand in which visitors can admire the collections of participants in Craft The Leather 2016 and vote for their favourite one.
Craft The Leather is a traning project, upon invitation only, focusing on a group of talented young designers from the most prestigious and innovative international fashion and design institutes. The aim is to to enhance the knowledge of Vegetable-Tanned Leather and enrich the technical know-how of designers/makers. Craft The Leather is composed of three phases. The first one foresees a workshop week in Tuscany, in which participants experience a full immersion in the life of the Leather District, following the entire productive with a visit in a tanneries.
The second one is a creative phase: after backing home at their school, they receives leathers and have to develop and make a three piece collection of personal accessories, using obviously veg-tanned leather. In the third phase the designers’ collection are exhibited at Lineapelle.
